业精于勤,行成于思。经过在DBA的课程学习与实践,2025年1月6日,DBA七期班同学、麒盛科技股份有限公司CEO黄小卫迎来了他的最终答辩时刻。黄小卫同学在答辩现场阐述了《时间观视角下老年人科技产品消费决策的影响研究》,成果丰硕,最终顺利通过答辩。恭喜黄小卫同学,让我们一起回顾他的高光时刻。

银发浪潮与科技浪潮正引领着21世纪的社会变革。随着全球人口老龄化的日益加剧,老年群体对科技产品的接受度和购买意愿备受关注。现有关于老年人科技产品使用意愿的研究,多聚焦于年龄、性别、技术素养等外在因素,对时间观这一深层次人格特质的关注不足。本研究基于社会情绪选择理论,分别采用现场实验法和实验室实验法,探讨老年人时间观对科技产品购买意愿的影响机制,为企业在老年市场的营销策略制定提供了理论支持。研究发现:(1)相较于持有限(vs.开放)时间观的老年人,持开放(vs.有限)时间观的老年人更偏好购买能够促进身体(vs.心理)健康的科技产品;(2)决策模式在时间观与科技产品购买意愿之间起到了关键的中介作用;(3)广告诉求调节了老年人时间观对于科技产品购买意愿的影响。本研究从时间观、决策模式和广告诉求出发,为理解老年人科技产品消费行为提供新视角,拓展了社会情绪选择理论的应用,为企业精准开发和营销科技产品提供重要参考。

The Silver Wave and the Technological Wave are leading social changes in the 21st century. As global population aging intensifies, the acceptance and purchase intention of technology products among older adults have garnered significant attention. Existing research on the willingness of older adults to use technology products mainly focuses on factors such as age, gender, and technological literacy, while paying insufficient attention to the deeper personality trait of time perspective. Based on the socioemotional selectivity theory, this study employs both field experiments and laboratory experiments to explore the impact mechanism of time perspective on the elderly's purchase intention of technology products, providing theoretical support for companies in formulating marketing strategies for the elderly market.

The findings reveal that: (1) Compared to older adults with a limited (vs. open-ended) time perspective, those with an open-ended (vs. limited) time perspective show a stronger preference for technology products that promote physical (vs. mental) health; (2) Decision-making patterns play a critical mediating role between time perspective and the purchase intention for technology products; (3) Advertising appeals moderate the impact of time perspective on purchase intention for technology products among older adults. By addressing time perspective, decision-making patterns, and advertising appeals, this study offers a new perspective on understanding older adults’ consumption behavior regarding technology products. It extends the application of socioemotional selectivity theory and provides valuable insights for companies to develop and market technology products more effectively to elderly consumers.
